We spent Sunday afternoon at the Unofficial Agility Trial in Mechenice. I really looked forward for this family gathering; the weather was also extremely nice. For the first time Muff and Yuki with their owners had a chance to try trial atmosphere. Tiffany and Ziggy were there too. All of us competed in category - Large Beginners. There were totaly 21 dogs in this category. There were also 8 Aussies in total at this trial. Pity that Izzy was sick and could not join us too as was originally planned. Here are our results:

The organizators awarded prizes just in totals but first 5 dogs. For me it was very nice view as there were 4 Aussies from 5 awarded dogs. At the second place was Grippen (Arya's son). For Katerina and Jan this trial was the first one in their life - all 4 did great job. I really enjoyed this afternoon and looking forward to repeat it soon. Unfortunately we also have one sad news. Buster passed away 4 days before his 14th birthdays. He was Tiffany's Sire.

Venka went to her first official event. She participated at Herding Capability Test (AHBA) and she got the first leg.

Next day she came back to try to get second leg. She was successfull and with the Q she also achieved title HCT. This test is possible to pass from 6 months of age. Venka got this title at the age of 6 months and 3 days old - Good job Dottie and Venka - Congratulations :-))

Izzy passed exam FPr1 with 95 points (from 100 possible). It was the best result of the day - Big congratulations!!!

It is unbelievable how quickly time flies but  Ricky celebrates today great thirteen birthdays. It is like recently when I flew to USA to pick him up. I still remember very well our journey home. We were waiting at the JFK for our next flight several hours and he was sitting on the baggage cart - in that small basket for the handbags, on my jacket while we were walking at the airport to fill the time. I do not need to say that he was in the middle of everybody's attention. I wish you still good health and hope you will make me happy for a long time as you did until now.

Trey - Open - 9th place from 55 LA dogs (2nd place among Aussies), Jump - 18th place (2nd among Aussies), in total 9th place, Trey placed second in Aussie Club Championship in total.

Muff - Open - elim., Jump - 27th place (3rd place among Aussies). Muff competed again with his instructor Jitka Novotna

We spent great weekend in Budisov nad Budisovkou where were herding exams organized. Tiffany passed herding instinct test ZVOP. Kidd passed HWT TS (FCI) exam on Saturday with 98 points from 100 possible. On Sunday he started in IHT1 TS trial and passed this exam with 65 points from 775 possible. Both points mean excellent evaluation. He is second Aussie in CZ passing HWT and the first passing IHT1 exam. Many thanks to all friends who helped us to prepare for those exams. First place in the second run also means that Telkkä got her last certificate and got Finish Agility Champion title - big congratulations!!!

A little bit untraditionally we were at the Agility Camp in Větřkovice already in June. We spent there beautiful 9 days and came home just yesterday. It showed up that in the cottage there  is possible to stay with 8 dogs without the problems. 8 dogs meant: Ricky, Trey both have it just as holiday, Tiffany, Kidd and Ziggy  trained and the girls had a great socialization there. In total there were 18 Aussies and beside "mines" there were also another ones with the last name Diandra. Yuki with his owner, as usually Grek did not miss it and Izzy was there for the second time. Also one puppy Sired by Kidd was there with her breeder and the second one visited us for one day. We trained agility, visited sheep, long evening talks with friends, trial, just classic program and nice vacation, at the nice place with nice people.

Muff was supposed to go with us too but working commitment of his owner canceled their plans at the last moment, pity. But they could participate in fun competition at their training place and they were second at the first run and won the second one - congratulations :-)

There was also held 2nd Club Australian Shepherd Agility Championship on Sunday. In the team competition we almost had family team: Kidd, Grek, Arya and Fran. Unfortunately the Conformation disturbed our concentration and we had too many eliminations. But in the Individual Competition Kidd won among Aussies first place in the first run (totally 2nd place), it was Agility run and he was also third in Jumping (Arya was second). So Kidd followed his sister Saturday's example and got the title Winner of the Aussie Agility Championship.

2^nd Club Obedience Championship was held at the same day there. Andra jr. with Lucie was participating again. They did not compete in Obedience from their success at the last year Championship so it was another “try” after one year, this time in OB-2 category.

 I am more than happy that Andra jr. defend her title and won the Australian Shepherd Championship again – congratulations!!!

Andra jr. participated in SAR Trial (President Cup) today according to ZZP3 (the highest lever of SAR exam according to the Czech National Rules). Trial was held in debris in Chbany, place where the last World Championship was held. Andra was 4th from 16 teams – congratulations!!!

We made a trip to Austria to try the real show atmosphere. After small Regional Show, held outside, de facto in the park we went to the International Shows held at the exhibition center halls, on the carpet, with many new noises, with almost 3 thousands dogs, many exhibitors and visitors. I was very satisfied how Muff and Ziggy showed in stack and also in movement. Unfortunately my battery charger only pretended that the batteries are charged, so right there I found out that I have two sets of empty batteries and useless charger, thanks to it we do not have any pictures.

We had a very busy day, dogs even did not realized that they had 6 runs each instead of usual 3, respectively SuperG runs had over 200 meters each and 25 obstacles. Unfortunately my legs realized and my muzzles are hurting ;-) but we really enjoyed it. Especially I liked a lot the final SuperG Jump from finish judge Bea Tanner, pity it was the last run when I did not have too much strength left, but still I was able to have clean runs with both dogs. Beside Ziggy and Ory there were whole day with us Katerina and Yuki and also an hour there was to support us Jan and Muff.

Today we had a very nice day. We were at walk with all the puppies from our B litter. Of course Ricky and Trey were with us too. It was very nice family reunion. All puppies looked happy and satisfied, having great relationships with their owners. Thank you all for the great care you provide to our puppies.

We have got sad news today. Ricky's mom Domino passed away yesterday. She would celebrate 16th birthday  in January. Her owner wrote very nice tribute for here - you can read it here.

Andra jr. was this weekend at the Czech SAR Championship and placed 16th. This was also last conditions for the Club Work Champion tittle in SAR category, which needed to be fulfilled - congratulations :-))

Andra jr. participated at the Czech Cup ZZP which was also qualification competition for the Czech SAR Championship. Andra placed 8th and got qualification to the Czech SAR Championship, which will be held in October - congratulations and good luck there. Andra also participated in August at the SAR atest and just got the info that she passed - she is became the first Aussie in the Czech Republic who passed this atest and is approved now to be officially used for SAR work in the real situation not only in the Czech Republic but also internationally. We are very happy that Andra jr. successfully follows her Sire.

Just after her return from the camp Andra jr. got for the first time opportunity to show in reality all she learn from puppyhood. She was a part of the team looking for lost man. Thanks to her they really found him. Unfortunately it was too late and he was found dead. Even if we are proud on her we are very sorry for his family.

Andra jr. was as usualy at the SAR training camp at Spaleniste (CZ). She extended there her long list of exams, this time they passed RH-WB, congratulations!!! 

I also would like to thank to Lucie because she allowed to Ory spend that week with them. Thanks to her Ory got a lot of new experiences and was introduced to many many new things, of course with respect to his age. He had a chance to try tracking, he got first few lessons in SAR whether in area or in debris, he tried to get surf out of the water just little from everything. I really appreciated SMSs which I got every day from Lucie - what new that day he saw and how great he was :-)

Telkkä  1st rnd Jumping - 44th place from 162 dogs in LA. First 50 continued to the second round which was Open. They had clear run, which you can see here and placed 8th. In total it brought them 19th place. Big congratulations!!!!

We have got results from AHT and Ricky is clear of HFS4 mutation. It means that our B litter is genetically clear on all 4 DNA test which are available for Australian Shepherds.

KCHBO had the first Open Air Czech Agility Championship fro Australian and Belgian Shepherds, Brezineves (CZ)

Ricky  became Vice-Champion, he will be 11 years and 8 months old tomorrow ;-)

Trey - Open - elim., Jump - 3rd place among Aussies (15th place in total)

We also participated in the team competition with our family team Trey, Kidd, Grek with Redy as the fourth member of the team. We placed 3rd among all participating teams.

I went with Kidd last week together with other friends to herding clinic in Poland. Floods complicated little bit our driving but vision of great weekend got us safely to that place near Warszaw. I could not miss the opportunity to learn something more about herding particularly from one of the most competent instructors but also ASCA Herding Judge and what is the most important, Maarten Walter is actively trialing his dogs so it is not just about the theory with him. He showed it to us many times during this weekend. In his hands even novice dogs looked like pro. Maarten is also Aussie breeder and in his Gabrielino Kennel was born Chap whom he kept and brought him to the highest titles in different disciplines including his ASCA Conformation Championship. I am very glad that Marteen liked his "grandson" Kidd a lot. My friend Justyna who organized this clinic also has several dogs having Chap as Grand Sire so it was also pleasant family reunion. At the same time I would like to thank to Justyna for allowing us to participate and took great care about us. Thank you.

There were moments when parcours looked like the judges compete with each other who will make better “trap” and they were quite successful. I personally like such parcours even if for the first sight it looks like it is not possible to make it. When I was on the way to the start line for Saturday Jumping I have got information that it is 13:5 for the judge :-) In Sunday Open there were just 5 dogs from 38 in LA who were able to get to the end without elimination. I always enjoy trials in Louny and we were quite successful this year there. Kidd finished all 6 runs without elimination and placed in four of them. Eleven years old Ricky showed me that he still does not belong to veteran category and is able to compete with much more younger dogs. For example in Saturday Jumping he had 5^th best time, he was even faster the Kidd for 0,02 sec. As usually underline runs mean video.

There is short reportage from this trial in local newspaper and both brothers have a picture there.

Thanks to Petra for her visit I really enjoyed the time spend with you and Grek.

Bratislava (SK)

Arya:  Individuals: Jump - 1st place, Open - 1st place, total - 1st place

In the Team Competition Bara’s team consisted of Arya and Katie, no one else. They had a handicap as the other teams were 4 members and 3 best results were counted. Despite this fact Bara placed 3rd – congratulations!!!!

Trey:  Teams: Open - 11th place, Jump - 9th place, total (Teams) - 8th place

Individuals: Jump - 36 th place, Open - elim., CACIAg - elim.

Ricky:  Teams: Open - 10th place, Jump - elim.

Individuals: Jump - 17th place, Open - 28th place, total (Individuals) - 14th place

There were 109 Individuals and 27 Teams in Large category.

Telkkä  A2 - 1st place from totaly 39 dogs

With this run Telkkä fulfilled conditions to move up to A3 at the age of 2 years and 3 months. Big congratulations to her owner!!!!!!

Ricky:  A3 - 1st place, Jump - elim, Open - 13th place

Ricky became the first (and he is still the only one) Australian Shepherd in the Czech Republic who competes at A3 level. Ricky fulfilled conditions at this trial to stay in A3 for the third year in a row. This means he is the first Aussie in the Czech Republic who fulfilled conditions for the A3 Champion title.

Our A Litter is celebrating its second birthday. Happy Birthday to all 6 puppies! They really did not lose time those past two years and their results are just great. Here is the review:

Conformation: Czech Junior Champion, CAJC (CZ, SK, Austria), CAC (CZ), Res.CAC (Finland), Best Junior of the Club Show, Excellent 2 at the Club Show and BIS Black, Excellent 3 and 4 at the Club Show - all results in numerous competition and from the judge from the country of origin, second place in the Merit of the Year in the  Junior Male and Junior Female categories

Exams: Obedience: ZZO, BH, ZOP, ZPU1, Obedience 1 plus fulfilled conditions for level 2, SAR: ZZZ, RH-E, ZVP1, ZZP1, Agility: 3x LA1, 2x fulfilled conditions for move up to LA2.

I would like to thank all the owners for the perfect care they have been providing to my puppies and wish a lot of success in the future :-)
